Service before Self
Dedicated Locals’ Caring Community is supported by a group of locals and new citizens who volunteer their time to offer daily assistance to over 7000 beneficiaries. We are dedicated to caring for the welfare of the unfortunate, helping those who have fallen on hard times cope with their difficulties and giving them a sense of dignity. We believe that everyone should make an effort to give back to society in whatever way possible, no matter how small.

Dato' Desmond Lim Bak Chuan
Founder
An engineer by training, Desmond started Dedicated Locals’ Caring Community back in 2011 with a small group of volunteers. This small ground-up initiative grew and in March 2015, it was incorporated as an independent charity organisation in Singapore. Desmond was conferred the title of “Dato” in 2019 for his contributions to the community.
